Qubit

A “qubit” is the quantum mechanical analog of the classical bit. Unlike a classical bit, which can be either 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in multiple states simultaneously due to its property called superposition. This allows a single qubit to represent more information than a classical bit and enable exponential processing capabilities in quantum computing. Additionally, entanglement links the state of one qubit with another, influencing their measurement outcomes. Together, these properties make qubits a fundamental unit of quantum information theory.
